HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 21 (acn) The Russian government will grant a 1.2 billion Euro credit line to build energy-generation blocks in two power plants.
The accord adopted by the Russian government stipulates that the funds will be invested to build a 200-megawatt unit at the Maximo Gomez power plant and three 200-megawatt units at the Este Habana power plant, according to a wire by RIA Novosti news agency, cited by Cuban TV.
Russia´s Finance Ministry is scheduled to sign the accord with its Cuban counterpart following talks on the issue. The Russian Council of Ministers also approved a draft accord to grant Cuba another 100-million dollar credit line to upgrade and expand a metal-processing plant in Havana.
