HAVANA, Cuba, May 21 (acn) Doctor Alfredo Gonzalez, deputy minister of the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), thanked on Wednesday in Havana the German company Otto Bock for its donation of eleven state-of-the-art equipment for Cuban technical orthopedics.
At the ceremony for the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Cuba-RDA Laboratory and of technical orthopedics in the Caribbean nation, the deputy minister acknowledged the gesture of that entity, which also includes the supply of tools and accessories.
Hans Georg Nader, president of the company, which has spent several years working with Cuba, announced that cooperation also includes five projects, three of them in conjunction with the development program of MINSAP until 2021.
These projects are technology transfer, training young, joint cooperation work in the attention to Cuban patients and patients of other countries through health tourism, and the installation and development of resources in the country, so in the future exports to other Latin American nations can be made.
Cuba-RDA was created on May 2, 1965, and it's currently directed by Guillermo Rodriguez .
