Lebanese Entrepreneurs to Explore Business Opportunities in Cuba

HAVANA, Cuba, May 5 (acn) A trade mission from the recently set up Lebanese-Cuba Business Council (LCBC) will travel to Cuba in June to explore investment and business opportunities.

LCBC president Ali Kazma told PL news agency that a trade mission in all 10 sectors represented at the corporative group will meet their Cuban counterparts in the first bilateral economic forum to take place June 2 and 3 at Havana´s Hotel Nacional.

The event will be attended by directives from different Cuban companies, foreign trade officials and executives from the Special Economic Zone at the western Cuban harbor of Mariel.

The Lebanese visitors expect to sign a document with the Cuban Chamber of Commerce to set up a legal framework for future projects in the areas of investment, commerce and joint ventures.

The Lebanese trade mission will also meet with Cuban officials to boost the development of the private initiative on the island and with this aim, an advanced group from the Lebanese-Cuba council will come to Havana in May to kick off preparations for the meeting and the forum in June.
