Laura Hernandez Baquero, general director of Pexac, said exclusively to the Cuban News Agency that the alliance between this entity and the Russian company UralSable will lead to the manufacture of commercial and industrial scales and balances with export possibilities.

This provision of the International Economic Partnership between the two nations will have Central America and the Caribbean as main destinations, she said.

Hernandez Baqurero pointed out that most of the equipment will be aimed at all customers of the economy in Cuba, either food, agriculture, public health, trade, ports and airports, among others.

In turn, the profits collected with CubaRus will guarantee the implementation of social programs in the country, with greater emphasis on health, through the manufacture of scales for newborns and the population in doctors' offices, polyclinics and hospitals.
The International Economic Association will favor the resumption of Pexac's production, the only company of its kind in the archipelago.
