PINAR DEL RÍO, Cuba, Feb 27 (ACN) Participants in the 24th Habano Cigar Festival learned about the work and dedication of local tobacco growers and cigar factories, as well as about the State's strategy to guarantee efficiency in the production of such exportable staple, during a visit to the province of Pinar del Río, held to be home to the best tobacco in the world.
The visitors witnessed the steps of the process leading up to the delivery of Premium cigars and talked with tobacco farmers and enterprise executives about topics ranging from the strategy to recover the drying houses damaged in 2022 by Hurricane Ian to the provision of resources to the growers.
Scheduled to be held until the 1st of March, the Havano Cigar Festival gathers more than 2,000 specialists, entrepreneurs, distributors, communicators, businesspeople and connoisseurs from some 100 countries.
