HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 18 (acn) Havana hosts the twelfth session of the Cuban-Russian Intergovernmental Commission on economic-trade and technical and scientific collaboration.
This session is presided over by Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz , vice president of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba and Mr. Dmitry O. Rogozin, Vice President of Government of Russia.
Accompanying the Russian VP there is an extensive delegation comprised of Secretaries of State, Deputy Ministers and other government officials of the economic, financial, energy, transportation, agriculture, communications, health, higher education, culture, iron and steel, tourism, customs, among other sectors, and a large representation from the business sector of this Eurasian country.
Both delegations, organized into working groups created for that purpose, examines issues of mutual interest in the above areas. In this sense, the Cuban side has planned a program of meetings with ministers and deputy ministers, as well as specialized visits to places of interest.
The agreements and commitments reached as a result of the talks will allow promoting and strengthening bilateral cooperation and stimulate business between companies from both countries.
