New MSMEs Join Cuban Economy in 2023

Havana, Feb 10 (ACN) Cuba’s Economy and Planning Ministry approved 98 new micro, small and medium companies; 97 private business and one state-run, according to the Ministry’s Telegram account.

Out of the total figure, 16 are micro-companies, 49 are small and 32 medium enterprises which will operate in the areas of catering, passenger transportation, food processing, construction materials and maintenance and repair of vehicles, among other modalities.

The new businesses are settled in the provinces of Havana, Pinar del Rio, Mayabeque, Matanzas (west), Sancti Spiritus, Ciego de Avila, (center) Camaguey, Las Tunas, Holguion and Guantanamo (East).
