Panama Favors Free Zone Trade with Cuba

 Havana, Nov 16 (ACN) Panama is willing to encourage Cuban exports through its Colon Free Trade Zone, which would allow access to regional markets, said Giovanni Ferrari, general manager of the Panamanian free zone.

At Havana’s International Trade Fair, Farrari acknowledged the event’s repercussion in the region and at world level.

Panamanian ambassador to Havana said that the air keeps growing despite obstacles aimed at sabotaging its development and stressed his country’s interest to keep deepening commercial relations between Cuba and Panama.

Meanwhile, Cuban Domestic Trade Ministry Betsy Diaz insisted in the need to take more actions to increase exchange between Cuba and Panama, in the area of trade of goods and services.
