With each FIHAV Cuba´s Prestige GrowsHAVANA, Cuba, Nov 3 (acn) The fact that the XXII International Fair of Havana is the largest in the past decade reflects the growing confidence and prestige achieved by Cuba in the eyes of foreign partners, Oscar Guillen, president of the Chamber of Commerce of the Island, said.

In statements to ACN, Guillen noted that the show, which opened Sunday, has become one of the most important trade fairs in Latin America and the Caribbean, despite the damages caused by the US embargo imposed on the country.

Thousands of foreign exhibitors at the show are interested in learning about the new opportunities Cuba offers to foreign investment, aimed at developing key sectors of its economy, said the head of the representative of the Cuban business community institution.

He also welcomed the presence at the fair of numerous chambers of commerce of the world, which may help to strengthen the links between foreign business men and the Caribbean nation.

In the presence of Ricardo Cabrisas, vice president of the Council of Ministers FIHAV 2014 was inaugurated on Sunday in its usual venue Expocuba, where thousands of entrepreneurs from 60 countries will seek till November 8 th new business opportunities.

After the traditional ribbon cutting, Cabrisas toured with several ministers the Central Hall, where the main goods and services representing some 360 national organizations in the pharmaceutical, chemical, light, energy, textile and food industries are exposed, among other.

On the opening day stood out the celebration of the National Day of Russia, a country with more than 30 companies that, during the visit, will promote relations with Cuba in areas such as medical-pharmaceuticals and education.
