HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 26 (ACN) The International Construction Fair, FECONS 2022, begins today, in Havana, until next Friday, April 29, with the common purpose of increasing efficiency in construction.
During four days, almost 120 foreign companies representing a dozen countries and 44 Cuban entities will gather at the Pabexpo fairgrounds, Inalvis de la Calle Sablon, director of strategic development of the ministry of construction, told the Cuban News Agency in an exclusive interview.
The guest of honor on this occasion is Venezuela and the participation of new economic actors, including micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and non-agricultural cooperatives (CNAs), stands out as a novelty.
In the context of the Fair, the 13th Scientific-Technical Conference will take place with a program that includes almost 20 master lectures, given by experts from Venezuela and Argentina, on issues related to the development of social housing.
The joint development plan until 2030, transformations and innovation in the construction industry, trends in new materials and the application of nanotechnology in products, are some of the issues to be addressed in the scientific program.
The Fair will host a business round, organized by the Chamber of Commerce, and companies are also encouraged to make their own contacts.
FECONS has a tradition of more than two decades of experience in gathering companies and professionals of the construction sector from all continents.
