Cuban ministry of agriculture boosts collaboration projects in farming and livestock issues

HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 7 (ACN) In order to achieve the expected impacts on food production in Cuba, the ministry of agriculture ( MINAG) is promoting collaborative projects in agriculture and livestock.

The entity reported on Twitter that executives of the sector in the country, in a working meeting, comprehensively assessed the implementation of these plans.

On Thursday, deputy minister Maury Hechavarria Bermudez exchanged with the ambassador of the European Union to Cuba, Isabel Brilhante Pedrosa, to strengthen the development of common agricultural projects.

He also held a meeting with the Vietnamese ambassador, Le Thanh Tung, to evaluate cooperation relations in agricultural projects.

Recently, MINAG executives established as challenges in this area, to increase agricultural and forestry production, reduce food imports, produce for export, reduce prices and achieve the rational and efficient use of resources.
