Construction company in a central province of the country made significant investments in 2021

CIENFUEGOS, Cuba, Dec 16 (ACN) The Industrial Works Construction Company #6 (ECOI 6), in the province of Cienfuegos, carried out relevant investments in important economic centers in Cuba during 2021, with an overfulfillment of 112 % of the annual plan.

Among the main works completed by the entity, whose 45th anniversary they will celebrate this December 17, stand out the works at the Jose Marti steel mill ̶ known as Antillana de Acero ̶ , the Pedro Sotto Alba Nickel processing plant in Moa, Holguin(eastern region), and the Cayo Largo del Sur aerial tower( Special Municiplality Isle of Youth).

Maudel Rodriguez Peña, director of UEB #2, said that at the end of last November they had a production volume of more than 26 million pesos in Antillana de Acero, the Maternity Hospital and the Cayo Largo del Sur airport tower.

Despite the limited resources caused by the U.S. economic, commercial and financial blockade, the work on the Maternity and Children's Hospital is 90 % complete and all that remains is the civil work, including masonry, electricity, waterproofing, painting and plumbing, he said.

We are also working on the structure of the Cayo Largo del Sur airport tower, along with the completion of the cabin, the electricity and power connections, the water and sanitary networks and the interior painting, Rodriguez Peña continued.

The location of this tower, which is being finished and complies with the technical requirements of civil aviation, will contribute to saving the country's resources, especially fuel, because flights will go directly to the key, the executive concluded.
