Camaguey, Cuba, Nov 3 (ACN) Members of the Cuban Association of Economists and Accountants (ANEC) held an exchange on Wednesday with representatives of 16 new micro, small and medium companies set up in this eastern province, as part of the counseling work with the new production and service entities.
ANEC President Luis Hung Penton and vice-president Ramon Labañino said that the MSMEs in Cuba have been designed according to Cuban reality and in tune with the constitution. They also praised the new platforms that will ease paperwork along with the potential of the new companies for job creation, exports and replacement of costly imports.
Ramon Labañino, who bears the title of Hero of the Republic of Cuba, said that all different kinds of companies, state-owned, private and coops, should join efforts to help the country’s economy in an efficient and coherent manner that yields goods and services for the people.
He said the success depends on the use of technology, science and innovation all aimed at the main contribution which is achieving prosperous socialism.
Authorities in Camaguey province have thus far approved 16 MSMEs, one of the state-owned.
