HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 17 (ACN) In order to ensure that the creation of private and state-owned micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs by its Spanish acronym) and new non-agricultural cooperatives (CNAs by its Spanish acronym) is carried out in a gradual and orderly manner starting next Monday, the Ministry of Economy and Planning (MEP) has been carrying out guidance and training activities for potential partners.
On September 20, Decree-Laws 46 and 47, which regulate the incorporation and operation of these economic actors, will come into force, and since the publication of such regulations in the Official Gazette on August 19, the organizational and assurance work has been hard, with the participation of banking, tax and notary institutions, among others.
Faced with a business potential of more than 600, 000 self-employed licenses, and the new ones that may arise as MIPYMEs and CNAs, -and in order to avoid any overflow of proposals- in an initial call the referred agency defined a group of activities, of utmost importance for the country, in which these first figures would be constituted.
These are food production, export of goods and services, local development projects, circular or recycling economy, and technology-based businesses; therefore, now, in the beginning, priority will be given to applications from those who wish to create micro, small and medium-sized private and state-owned companies, and new non-agricultural cooperatives, associated with these issues.
MEP officials informed the Cuban News Agency they will announce the access link to the Platform of Economic Actors (PAE), through which from Monday 20 will begin to receive from a cell phone or computer the application forms and other required documents.
Through the PAE the incorporation of the legal entity and the main procedures occur 30 working days after its filling, as established by Resolution 63/2021, of the MEP, in addition to the fact that it allows checking in real time the status of the application and indicates to the user at what time and place it must be physically presented at the Notary's Office, at the Commercial Registry and at the bank, among other advantages.
