Havana, July 30 (ACN) Cuba and Iran considered actions on Friday to further expand trade relations in the benefit of strategic economic sectors of both countries.
In a meeting Friday the president of Cuba’s Chamber of Commerce Antonio Carricarte and Iran’s ambassador to Havana Seyed Mohammad Hadi Sobhani agreed to the exchange of both countries’ business communities.
As part of growing bilateral relations, Iran and Cuba recently announced the development in Iran of the PastuCovac COVID-19 vaccine, the first of its kind jointly produced by two nations of the world.
Iran’s Pasteur Institute issued a communiqué saying that Cuba and Iran shared a long-standing cooperation in biotechnology, and the mutual work on the COVID-19 vaccine is based in a strategic relationship in the field of research and development of vaccine technologies.
