HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 5 (ACN) Cuba´s leading tourist resort of Varadero will be ready as of October 15 to receive international visitors and air operations that are requested to travel to that destination, the local Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR) reported.
According to this source, the initial stage foresees a partial opening in which clients will be able to enjoy accommodation in four and five-star hotels, engage in maritime excursions, nature tours and other activities, within an approved zone.
This phase includes extra-hotel activities associated with the Chapelin and Gaviota marinas, gastronomic, commercial and recreation services, as well as visiting the dolphin aquarium, among others.
As hygiene measures to avoid the transmission of Covid-19, it was established in the protocols that all services will be paid by customers with the use of their credit cards to avoid cash manipulation.
Likewise, there will be a medical team in all the resort hotels who will accompany vacationers during their stay, and will carry out frequent health investigations, MINTUR noted in a statement.
The Juan Gualberto Gomez international airport, in that destination, is ready to resume all its operations and biosecurity protocols are in place to receive visitors, MINTUR added.
