HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 2 (ACN) The tour operator Air Canada Vacations confirmed it will make its first trip this week from Montreal to Cayo Coco, in Cuba, a country that is currently positioned as a safe tourist destination by implementing strict security measures.
According to the announcement, next September 4th Air Canada Vacations will regulate its flights to Jardines del Rey airport, once a week from Montreal, and later this month they will do it from Toronto as well, Prensa Latina reported.
In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic affecting the world, these Cuban resorts have been certified with the most hygienic and safe tourism condition, and are ready to receive foreign travelers.
The hotels have the conditions to assure the physical distance, the hand disinfection and means to inform the tourists, about the sanitary measures they must fulfill during their stay in Cayo Coco.
The Canadian market constitutes the main issuer of foreign visitors to the Caribbean nation worldwide.
