HAVANA, Dec 4 (ACN) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel condemned the aggressive U.S. policy against his country.
"Trump attacks again: Six ships are sanctioned for transporting oil from Venezuela to Cuba. No more unjust and arrogant sanctions. Cuba does not surrender to the arrogant imperial aggression. We will win, because we are continuity," he tweeted.
USA took another step forward in its aggressiveness against Venezuela and Cuba, adding to its unilateral list of sanctioned entities six vessels that transport oil from the South American nation to the Caribbean island.
According to a statement from the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Treasury Departmentm, Caracas and Havana have avoided previous sanctions imposed by Washington by changing the names of the ships.
This measure, which will be followed by similar ones, according to American threats, came a week after the sanction of the Cuban company Corporacion Panamericana S.A. for its connections with Venezuela.
