Cuban inmigrants condemn US blockade during visit to HavanaHAVANA, Nov. 15 (ACN) Members of Cuban migration organizations forming the Martiana Alliance Coalition in Miami condemned at the Cuban Friendship Institute (ICAP), in Havana, the blockade imposed by the United States on the Caribbean island.

As part of their stay in Havana to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the founding of the city, coalition member Andres Gomez pointed out that Cuba is and will continue to be an example to the world thanks to radical social transformations.
The Cuban emigrant delegation is made up by 35 members of organizations such as the Antonio Maceo Brigade, the Jose Marti and Women's Associations, as well as the Bolivarian Circle of Miami Negra Hipolita.
Fernando Gonzalez, Hero of the Republic of Cuba and president of ICAP, thanked the systematic struggle of emigration against the tightening of unilateral and extraterritorial policies, especially with the recent measures of Donald Trump's administration.
During the meeting, the Cuban Five Heroes received recognition for their historic struggle on behalf of the cultural association Jose Marti and the Miami Martiana Alliance Coalition.
The visit began with a tour to Cristobal Colon cemetery, where they paid tribute to the members of these and other organizations of Cuban inmigrants, who for more than a century have fought in the United States to achieve and maintain national independence, and their remains are resting in the Revolutionary Emigrants' Pantheon.
