Cuban minister of higher education visits VietnamHAVANA, Cuba, Oct 29 (ACN) Cuba's Minister of Higher Education, Jose Ramon Saborido Loidi, is making a working visit to Vietnam aimed at continuing to strengthen educational exchange between the two nations.

The Cuban minister and his counterpart from the Ministry of Education and Training, Phung Xuan Nha, signed on Tuesday in Hanoi an agreement for the broadening of academic cooperation between universities of both countries.
Saborido Loidi also held talks with Nguyen Huu Do, vice minister of education and training, Nguyen Van Trao, rector of Hanoi University and Nguyen Vu Tung, director of the Diplomatic Academy.
The Cuban minister also attended the International Workshop "The Legacy of Ho Chi Minh for Vietnamese Cultural Diplomacy" in Nghe An Province, home of the prominent revolutionary known as Uncle Ho, which was also attended by Nguyen Quoc Cuong, deputy foreign minister.
Saborido Loidi laid a wreath at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in homage to the father of the Vietnamese people.
Cuba and Vietnam will celebrate on December 2, 2020 the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, based on exchange, respect, cooperation and mutual aid between both people.
