HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 13 (ACN) Cuba participates in the 84th edition of the L'Humanite Festival (fete de l'Humanite), an annual festival organized by the French newspaper to fund itself. The event began today, with several spaces dedicated to solidarity, cooperation and fostering its revolutionary culture and tradition, Prensa Latina reported.
The first of the three days scheduled in the Georges Valbon Park included the setting up of the Granma daily stand, the official newspaper of the Cuban Communist Party.
The stand offers local and foreign visitors an approach to the island's cultural richness, from the popular mojito to typical food and music that invites dancing or reflection.
The associations Cuba Linda and France-Cuba, which denounce the US blockade and its impact on Cuba, also opened their sections.
Starting tomorrow, Cuban MP and presidential advisor Abel Prieto, who heads the Cuban delegation, will carry out a broad agenda at the Festival.
Prieto will visit stands, hold a conference on culture in 60 years of revolution, and hold talks with the national secretary of the Communist Party of France, Fabien Roussel.
