HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 18 (ACN) Members of the US Jazz group Moshulu Band highlighted on Friday in Havana how they will contribute in improving relations between their country and Cuba.

During a press conference in Havana's Hotel Nacional, David Sancoius, pianist of the US band expressed that there is a "need to establish a bridge between both nations and music is capable of achieving that goal".

The musicians also confessed their opposition to President Trump's policies towards Cuba considering it as a halt in the development of events like the International Jazz Plaza Festival.

The group, made up by Jeff Berlin in the bass, Oz Noy Guitar, Denis Chambers drums and David Sancious made their debut Friday night at the National Theater as part of the Jazz Plaza Festival.

The name of the group comes from a German ship made up of immigrants and represents the nostalgia of many who have not been able to live in their country of origin.
