HAVANA, Cuba, May 24 (ACN) The University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, one of the most important in France, will work to increase friendship and collaboration with Cuba.
This statement was made during the meeting held by the Cuban Minister of Higher Education, José Ramón Saborido, with the president of this university, Georges Haddad.
The French academic, who has had important links with higher education institutions in the Caribbean country, confirmed this determination, according to the Prensa Latina (PL) agency from Paris.
Saborido conveyed his interest in identifying new areas of cooperation, for which a visit to Cuba by the authorities of that university will soon be organized.
The Cuban official attended the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Sorbonne Declaration, where he spoke with ministers and other university authorities from different countries around the world.
Saborido is participating in the Ministerial Conference, where he plans to present the Cuban experience in a round table discussion focused on the theme of Expanding access and ensuring success for all in education.
During the event, speeches are scheduled from the Prime Minister of France, Edouard Philippe; the Director-General of UNESCO, Audrey Azoulay; and the European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, Tibor Navracsis.
