Puerto Rico, Guest of Honor at Cuban Caribbean FestivalSANTIAGO, Cuba, April 26 (ACN) Puerto Rico will be the guest of honor at the upcoming Caribbean Festival of Fire Feast to be held at Santiago de Cuba city in July with the attendance of over 600 delegates from 22 countries.

Some 150 Puerto Rican delegates will attend the festival, including intellectuals, artists like the renowned singer Andy Montanez, said Daniela Anaya, vice-director of the Caribbean Center, which organizers the festival every year.
Some of the largest delegations to attend the event include the United States, Venezuela and Argentina. The fair will pay homage to National Visual Arts Laureat Eduardo Roca, who will share with participants about his works.
Nearly 30 local areas in Santiago will host activities related to the Festival which includes 28exhibits by local visual artists plus theater samples and many other attractions.
The Caribbean Festival was first held in April 1981 on the initiative of diseased writer Joel James and other artists from Santiago de Cuba. The event is not only a cultural space but also a platform for reflection on regional culture and traditions.
