Ahead of university tests, training intensifies in Cuban schools

SANCTI SPIRITUS, Cuba, Mar 30 (ACN) The Sancti Spíritus Provincial Directorate of Education (DPE by its Spanish acronym) consolidates strategies in the preparation of twelfth graders for college entrance exams, with little more than a month left for these tests.

According to Edelberto Cancio, DPE director, they have applied a working system that not only allows them to follow up the student from the academic point of view, but also to the teachers who have the responsibility to train these students.
We have implemented exchanges with the students where they express their doubts, and we provide them guidance on the courses for them to take, said Cancio, who added they also recommend the students the proper bibliography to use.
He noted that they are also making a special follow to students with academic difficulties in order to improve results of the previous year.
Cancio highlighted the teachers´ performance in offering this extra effort to the students as many of them reach this stage with some difficulties due to the lack of teachers the territory has been suffering for some years.
