Bonaire, Main Guest to Cuban Caribbean Festival

HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 25 (ACN) Bonaire will be the main guest of the 37th Caribbean Festival or Fire Feast, to be hosted by eastern Santiago de Cuba city, its annual venue.

On behalf of Bonaire´s acting governor Evelyn Betancourt, the director of that nation´s Culture Department Timoteo Silberie thanked for the dedication of the festival to his country and stressed the significance for Bonaire´s people to have the opportunity to bring their culture to Cuba.
Bonaire will be represented by 150 members, who will be privileged to visit Santiago de Cuba and share with the locals.
The Fire Feast, to run July 3-9, will be attended by 400 representatives from around the Caribbean and Latin America.
According to the organizing committee, also confirmed are delegations from Argentina, Mexico, the Virgin Islands and the United States.
Folk music, Creole dance, theater and many other artistic expressions of Caribbean culture will be present during the days of the festival.
