HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 7 (acn) Cuba's Camagua Folk Company, of Camaguey province, is in Europe, invited by the Association of Festivals of the South to represent Cuba in international folk festivals until August.
Standing out among the main meetings are the Rubi International and the Arroyo Folk Festival, Pinciafolk, both in Spain, the World Folk Festival of Langon, Cultures of the World, of Saint Vincent de Tyrosse and the International Festival of Pau, in France, and the Jambes, in Belgium.
With the shows Cubanisimo, Por los campos de mi Cuba, Homenaje, Caribe Soy and Rumbeando, the company will stage Cuba's most traditional dances, including the rumba, declared Intangible Cultural Heritage by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.
As informed by Fernando Medrano, director of the company, to Principe Web site, the delegation is composed of 32 artists, including musicians and dancers.
