Cuba Signs Cultural Agreements with Argentina and Bolivia

Cuba Signs Cultural Agreements with Argentina and BoliviaHAVANA, Cuba, Sep 18 (acn) Cuban Culture Minister Julian Gonzalez signed on Friday at Havana's Convention Center two cultural agreements for exchanges and cooperation with his counterparts of Argentina and Bolivia.

Argentinean Culture Minister Teresa Parodis signed in this capital several cooperation accords on heritage preservation and actions to promote respect for cultural diversity.
In addition, both officials agreed several actions of cooperation in areas such as cinema, audiovisuals and cultural publications.
I believe our peoples joined in culture long before other expressions; art is a bond of blood that remains in collective memory, Parodis said during the signing of the official accords.
Similarly, the well-known artist asserted that soon several links between Cuban and Argentine entities such as Casa de las Americas and the Nestor Kirchner Center will be established.
The Minister of Culture of Bolivia, Marko Machicao, asserted that the agreements related to that nation covered general policies for cultural exchanges and relations between peoples.
We would like to take advantage of Cuba's experience in terms of artistic and technical training and offer our greatest strength, that is, our knowledge about cultural work in rural and indigenous communities, specified the young Bolivian Culture Minister.
The general idea is that bilateral relations also expand through the mobility of creators and artists with scholarships and joint projects to enhance the cultural capacities of the two peoples, he concluded.
