HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 9 (acn) The pianist, composer and orchestra director Guillermo Rubalcaba died on Monday night in Havana, confirmed the Cuban Institute of Music.
Creator of the Rubalcaba Typical Charanga, Guillermo Gonzalez Camejo descended from a family of musicians which is one of the main trunks of deep roots of the Cuban stave.
Born in 1927, the charismatic artist highlighted, among other projects, for being included in the list of Cuban groups, such as the Afro Cuban All Stars, by participating in major festivals in Europe and Asia.
His style to improvise marks the memory of Cuban music, because his rhythm is impregnated in numerous recordings and is testimony of sound referent of the authentic Cuban music.
He was buried at Colon Cemetery.
