Díaz-Canel honors Cuban Culture Day

HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 20(ACN) Despite the collapse of the Cuban power grid and the landfall of Hurricane Oscar, President Miguel Diaz-Canel posted a message on X recalling that Sunday marked Cuban Culture Day.
His text also has words of praise for those “who went out to achieve independence 156 years ago”.

The Cuban leader underscored that the date cannot be properly celebrated in view of the difficult situation facing the country. “However,” he stressed in his message, “we have the Homeland, Revolution and socialism, that is, a guarantee of protection for all”.
