12th Festival “Un puente hacia La Habana” to host foreign singers

HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 16 (ACN) The 12th Festival “Un puente hacia La Habana” [A bridge to Havana], organized to commemorate the Cuban capital city’s 505th birthday, will include concerts by the foreign singers Jessy Yasmeen, from Holland, and Carlos Torres, finalist of the contest La Voz de España.

Reinier Rodriguez, director of Empresa de Grabaciones y Ediciones Musicales (EGREM), described the event, which backdrops the 60th anniversary of this entity, as necessary for culture inasmuch as it puts Cuban music on the world map.

Furthermore, not only does Un puente… enable linkages between the artists featured on the label's catalog and other forms of non-state management, it also provides an opportunity to enjoy the mixture of Cuban and foreign cultures and to promote young local talent.
