Cuba to host international puppetry festival

 MATANZAS, Cuba, Apr 10 (ACN) As the 15th International Puppetry Festival/Workshop “Festitim 2024”, scheduled to be held in this city on May 14 to 19, the organizers work to turn the much-awaited event into a promotion of and with art.

Katia Hernández and Enrique Smith, producers of the official “Festitim” promotional spot, stressed that the main intention is to stimulate the intelligence of the youngest audiences and contribute to their cultural, visual and esthetic education through a challenging 28-second-long material expected to be eye-catching and attractive to children and adults alike.

“Festitim”, which will gather performing arts practitioners and enthusiasts, is dedicated this year to the children’s theater director René Fernández on his 80th birthday, to the 30th anniversary of the theater troupe Las Estaciones, and to women puppeteers.
