HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 20 (ACN) The winners of the La Edad de Oro(The Golden Age) 2023 contest, organized by the Gente Nueva Publishing House, will be awarded today at the 32nd Havana International Book Fair, which is held at the San Carlos de La Cabaña fortress.
Every year, the award recognizes the most outstanding Cuban writers for children, adolescents and young people, and this year's winners were Juan Farol(Juan Farol), by Claude Nogueras; El diario asombro(The Daily Amazement), by Idiel García; and El futuro de los astros(The Future of the Stars), by Claudia Damiani.
During the day they will also launch the call for entries for the 2024 contest, the oldest one that rewards the best of children's and young people's literature made in Cuba.
Scheduled until February 25, the 32rd International Book Fair has as its guest of honor the Federative Republic of Brazil.
