New Book Reveals what Hunger Geopolitics Means

Havana, Feb 13 (ACN) Cuba’s International Book Fair- Feb 15-25- will be the scenario to launch a book by Brazilian author Josue de Castro what he described as “the geopolitics of hunger,” which has been translated into several languages.

Josue has been a pioneer in research about hunger and malnutrition in the world, according to FAO.

The book, which will be launched Friday at the Havana fair, promoted ideas for the UN Food and Agricultural Organization to keep looking for more inclusive, efficient, resilient and sustainable food systems particularly under the current climate crisis.

Last December, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization marked the 50th year of the death of Josue de Castro, by presenting his book, which will be available at the Havana fair.
