MATANZAS, Cuba, Jan 30 (ACN) The 3rd Colloquium of the Spanish-American Decima, scheduled for March 26-28, will promote different views on the spinel within the 3rd International Scientific University-Society Congress (Unisoc) 2024, organized by the western University of Matanzas (UM).
Carlos Chacon Zaldivar, general coordinator of the Colloquium, told the Cuban News Agency that speakers will be able to share studies on the life and work of Jesus Orta Ruiz (Indio Nabori) and his contributions to the development of the decima, as well as essays on exponents of the oral and written tradition of the national spinel.
Biographical approaches to the work of scholars and promoters of orality and writing in different countries of the world, and literary, musical, dance and plastic expressions linked to the popular culture of the peoples, will also be possible aspects of the exchange.
The professor highlighted that there are three chairs of the decima in Cuban universities, those of Matanzas, and the western Pinar del Rio and the Pedagogical University of Havana, houses of high studies that contribute to the promotion of the Colloquium and the understanding and vitality of the verse and the broad culture that holds it.
Some twenty workshops, colloquiums, conferences and symposiums will distinguish Unisoc 2024, which in March will socialize good practices, offer exhibition spaces to different entities in the light of science, as well as promote products and services.
