HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 24 (ACN) The album "Santiago-Brooklyn-Santiago", by artists Arturo O'Farrill and Marcos Fernandez, will be launched today in this city in the context of the 39th International Festival Jazz Plaza 2024.
Heydi González, a musicologist with Empresa de Grabaciones y Ediciones Musicales (EGREM), described their work as a wonderful collection of unpublished and co-authored songs and “a round trip to and from, as well as a bridge between the cities of Santiago de Cuba and Brooklyn, New York, both considered musical cities on a global level”.
She referred to O'Farrill and Fernández’s joint work as a great example of cooperation between two artists and two record labels, in this case Cuba’s EGREM and New York’s Zoho Music.
