Cuba launches book on the history of Bolivia

HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 8 (ACN) The book Bolivia, sus pueblos, historias y culturas [Bolivia, its peoples, histories and cultures] will be presented today at ALBA Cultural (House of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America).

The launching of the text, edited in 2020, is part of ALBA Cultural’s weekly program and will be attended by its author, Odalys Borrell Saburit, in coordination with the publishing house Editorial Abril and the magazine Zunzún.

Bolivia… is a monograph that summarizes the vast Andean, Amazonian and Chaco culture that mixed with European and African elements to give back to Upper Peru or the Real Audiencia de Charcas (High Court of Charcas) the names they had when Simon Bolivar liberated the region from Spain in 1825.
