Vietnam to produce documentary on military relations with Cuba

 HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 31 (ACN) A delegation of the Vietnam People's Army and a Vietnamese film crew are making the documentary "Two hearts with the same heartbeat", on the 60 years of military relations with Cuba.

This was reported on Twitter by the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the country, Miguel Diaz-Canel, who received the Vietnamese delegation, who are visiting the island, at the Presidential Palace.

The President also highlighted the excellent relations between the two countries, noting that the title of the audiovisual also reflects Cuba's feelings.

On December 2, 1960, Cuba and the then Democratic Republic of Vietnam began bilateral relations characterized by unconditionality, support, loyalty and the depth of their ties.

Since that date, Cuba became the first country to recognize the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam, welcomed in Havana a permanent representation and opened its embassy in the middle of the jungle of the Asian country.

On September 12, 1973, the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, paid his first visit to Vietnam, whose official name is the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, a country that had liberated its struggle against U.S. troops in the south of that territory.
