HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 14 (ACN) Authorities of the Cuban Ministry of Higher Education (MES) met with Mario Oliva Suarez and Jeronimo Domingo Ricardez Jimenez, head of the General Division of International Relations (DGRI) and director of the School of Accounting and Administration, respectively, of the University of Veracruz (UV) in order to develop cooperation based on the strategies of the Mexican government.
The Cuban delegation also intends to hold meetings with Mexican personalities, organizations and institutions, as well as to promote Cuban higher education’s goods and services.
Oliva Suárez pointed out that the UV has long-standing relations and 14 current agreements with its Cuban counterparts—especially since it became autonomous in 1996—and is interested in a number of specialties developed in Cuba, related to consultancy, agricultural advisory services and several fields of engineering, among others.
