Song ¨Alcé mi voz¨ Wins Lucas Award in CubaHAVANA, Cuba, Nov 26 (acn) The video clip ¨Alcé mi voz¨, starring singer Ivette Cepeda and directed by Alejandro Perez, won two Lucas Prizes at the awards gala in the technical categories, held in this capital.

An intimate and simple show held at Arcos de Cristal Hall, in Tropicana restaurant on Tuesday night unveiled the first awarded by this audiovisual project, which each year attracts artists from around the country and on this occasion received more 300 video clips.

The single, on guaguancó key, won, as expected, the Best Photography and Best Video of Traditional and Folk Music, two categories in which competed against producers like Joseph Ross and Ian Padrón.

This is the first time we participate in this event and for me it is very exciting; so I want to thank Alejandro Perez who did not give up with me, and the author of the track, Roly Rivero, who waited five years for someone to sing this song, Ivette said during the ceremony.

Meanwhile, ¨Brujas, ¨work directed by Ross won the laurels in the categories of Visual Effects and Art Direction.

In addition, the video clip ¨Se bota a matar¨, by the duo Buena Fe and produced by Ian Padrón, achieved awards in the categories of Best Making Off and Best Production.

Alejandro Perez also took home the award for Best Video of Reggaeton with ¨Bla, Bla, Bla, ¨popularized by El Micha, representative of the urban genre in Cuba.

The surprise of the night was the instrumentalist Niurka González, who with an audiovisual made by Lester Hamlet to her ¨II Sonata para Flauta, ¨debuted at this event and won the awards in the categories of Best Instrumental and Choral Video and New Artist.

The musical moment was in charge of artists like Ivette Cepeda, Jessy Suarez and Will Campa and the Great Union, who performed for the public some of the tracks nominees in this competition of the Cuban audiovisual.

The Lucas 2014 awards gala will be on November 29 at nine in the evening at Karl Marx Theater and will be televised live across the country.
