International graphic humor exhibition concludes in Cuba

SANTA CLARA, Cuba, Dec 20 (ACN) In the context of the celebrations for the 54th anniversary of the humorous magazine Melaíto—the only one of its kind that is not based in Havana—the 21st International Exhibition of Graphic Humor “Santa Clara 2022”, which boasted almost 500 competing works from 45 countries, concluded in this city.
 
 The event, this time dedicated to Egypt, has become one of the most important cartoon-related events in Cuba and a window to today’s graphic humor worldwide.
 
Melaíto director and event organizer Alfredo Martirena Hernandez remarked that Santa Clara 2022 showcased all pieces in competition, including the most outstanding works submitted by Russia, China and Turkey.
