HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 13 (acn) Cuban pianist Marcos Madrigal began on Thursday a tour of Italy, where he will offer three concerts along with the local Marchigiana Philharmonic Orchestra.
The first concert will take place at the Teatro delle Muse, of the city of Ancona; on Friday he will play at the Rossini, located in Pesaro; and on November 16 at the Teatro Gentile, in Fabriano, the Prensa Latina news agency reported.
Italian maestro Federico Mondelci will conduct the orchestra, and the participation of Ukrainian pianist Vitaly Pisarenko, as part of the program entitled Encounter with Rachmaninov, is also expected.
Likewise, on November 21, the Cuban artist will offer a concert with music of the album Classico Napolitano for the Associazione de Amici Italia-Austria of Rome.
On that occasion, he will share the stage with soprano Letizia Calandra and guitarist Riccardo Medile.
Numerous contests in Panama, Costa Rica, Italy, Switzerland, Spain and Cuba have given prizes to the interpretative quality of Madrigal, whose concerts in Great Britain, Argentina, Colombia, Italy and other countries achieve great success.
