New launching of books on Fidel and Martí

HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 17 (ACN) A new presentation of the books Un joven llamado Fidel Alejandro [A young man called Fidel Alejandro] and La Habana de José Martí [José Martí's Havana] will take place today at the Museum of the Revolution, according to Verde Olivo Publishing House.

Un joven… describes Fidel Castro’s rising trajectory from his native Biran in 1926, in the province of Holguin, until the 1959-2016 period, "ninety steps climbing to the top of a life devoted to others, to Cuba, to his America, to humanity", says María Luisa García Moreno, who wrote this book and co-authored La Habana… together with Evelio Toledo Quesada, a graduate of San Alejandro Art School.

The text about Martí takes us around "the city that the Apostle knew, especially those places where he lived, studied, worked or fought, which eventually became sites for remembrance and tribute".
