HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 31 (acn) The Cuban Film Conducta, by director Ernesto Daranas, received on Friday the prize "Circulo Precolombino de Oro" as Best International Film of the 31st Film Festival of Bogotá, informed the organization.
The movie, also selected as the best film on childhood by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), tells the story of an 11 year-old boy and his respect and love for his primary school teacher.
The organization's communique adds that the film, premiered at the beginning of the year, has won several prizes of specialized critics worldwide, like in the Spanish Film Festival of Malaga and the Havana Film Festival of New York (Best Film).
At the BIFF (Brasilia International Film Festival), the film won two prizes: best male performance (Armando Valdes) and best script (for Daranas).
