BAYAMO, Cuba, May 10 (ACN) Artists from several provinces and foreign guests will exchange experiences and entertain different audiences during the international meeting Primavera Teatral ("Theatrical Spring"), to be held on May 20-24 in this city and other scenarios in the province.
With the challenge of resuming face-to-face activities after two years of facing the COVID-19 pandemic, the 21st edition of the event will reach the municipalities of Guisa, Yara, Cauto Cristo and Bayamo, said Ridiel Roblejo Leyva, director of the provincial council for the performing arts, at a press conference.
At the same time, the successful on-line program will be maintained, which in the 19th and 20th editions made it possible to accompany theater lovers, even in the midst of the social isolation imposed by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, he stressed.
This modality, Roblejo Leyva added, will make it possible for actors from Canada, Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico, Denmark, Argentina, Brazil, Peru and Italy to participate.
In addition to plays, there will be tributes to personalities, training spaces, plastic arts exhibitions, and the so-called scenic troops that will interact with neighbors in the communities.
The meeting is dedicated to the 45th anniversary of the Granma Theatrical Collective and the 30th anniversary of the Theater Guerrilla, and will pay special tribute to Yosvany Abril, director of the puppet show Polichinela, from Ciego de Avila, and to Felix Bedolla, from the Cultural Corporation Our People, from Colombia, both of whom died as a consequence of COVID-19.
