Havana, April 26 (ACN)Three literary works of Eusebio Leal Spengler, former city historian, were launched Tuesday in the context of Havana’s International Book Fair, underway till April 30.
Author Rafael Acosta described the historian as the most useful man of his time as he recalled similar statement by National Hero Jose Marti about outstanding 19th century writer Domingo del Monte.
Acosta said that Leal Spengler brought together two major factors which every man should have: thinking, because he had ecumenical culture, and action expressed in his huge work to rescue the Old Section of Havana.
Cultural Heritage Director with the Havana’s Historian Office, Michael González Sánchez, said that Leal’s literary work encompasses international cooperation and the relationship with sister nations of the world.
