HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 18 (ACN) From today until January 23, the 37th International Jazz Plaza Festival will be held in Havana, bringing together Cuban and foreign artists, who will offer their music to the audience in live concerts.
The opening gala will be held today at the Avellaneda Hall of the National Theater, which will also host the closing ceremony of the event.
It will feature Nachito Herrera and Habana Jazz, accompanied by a large number of Cuban musicians, followed by Del blues a la Timba-de la Timba al Jazz, a proposal by maestro Bobby Carcases.
According to the director of Jazz Plaza, Victor Rodriguez, it was decided to keep the link achieved with television in order to reach greater impact, in addition, social media will be used, as last year and YouTube channels of cultural institutions in the country.
International artists such as pianist Jacob Karl Anders (Sweden), guitarist Dominic Miller (United States), composer and pianist Ray Lema (Democratic Republic of Congo); and Javier Malosetti and Proyecto La Colonia (Argentina) will participate in this edition.
