HAVANA, Cuba, Sept 4 (acn) A Polish Theater Festival will take place in this capital on September 23-28, informed on Wednesday playwright Reinaldo Montero, its coordinator.
Montero explained that the Festival will include screenings of filmed theater plays at the Caracol Hall of the Association of Cuban Writers and Artists (UNEAC).
Likewise, Desiderio Navarro will give the lecture on Jerzy Grotowsky, on September 26 at the Villena Hall of UNEAC, and Francisco Lopez Sacha, a lecture on Tadeusz Cantor, on September 27 in the same place.
One of the plays to be premiered is Emigrees , by Slawomir Mrozek, directed by Sahily Moreda, of the Cuartel Company, at the Bertolt Brecht Cultural Center, on September 24.
Among theater plays to be put on again we find White Marriage, by Tadeusz Rozewicz, directed by Raul Martin and his group Teatro de La Luna, at the Adolfo Llaurado Hall.
The Festival will close with a Polish rock concert on the evening of September 28, at Havana's Maxim Rock Club.
This is the third time the Festival takes place, which will include classics of Polish playwriting as well as contemporary theater plays.
