HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 12 (acn) A photo exhibit on Fidel Castro to be inaugurated August 12 at Havana's Revolution Square will mark the 88th birthday of the Cuban Revolution leader and will allow visitors to meet a world statesman, said exhibit author Roberto Chile.
"This is a set of photos that were taken in 2010, though some date back to 2005 and 2006, said Roberto Chile and noted that although the exhibit was designed for the Cuban people it will simultaneously open in Berlin's Art Stalker gallery, in Germany.
In the two places we will also screen audiovisuals recalling important chapters of Fidel's revolutionary work over the years and his relations with the people, Chile told reporters.
Also included in the exhibit is a bronze sculpture of a military cap with a star similar to one Fidel wore on September 28, 2010 during a ceremony for the 50th anniversary of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution community organizations.
As to the title of the exhibit, Roberto Chile said that the phrase Fidel is Fidel was first pronounced by president Raul Castro, and it entails the core of Fidel's personality.
