Cuba´s Acosta Danza Company successfully debuts in Chile

HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 7 (ACN) Acosta Danza, with the performance and general direction of Carlos Acosta, made its debut in Chile, at the Municipal Theater of Las Condes.

The auditorium was full of people who gave the Cuban company, which is participating as a guest at the International Performing Arts Festival Santiago a Mil, a standing ovation, according to the company's press office.
The Cuban company performances will continue today at the San Martin Cultural Center, La Pintana Municipal Theater (January 8), Antofagasta Municipal Theater (January 10), and Pudahuel Amphitheater (January 12 and 13).
The arrival of the Cuban principal dancer with his company to Santiago de Chile has been regarded as a success in the capital city.
Many ballet lovers in the country have expressed their admiration for Acosta, and remember his performance with the ballet of the Municipal Theater in the early 1990s.
